Govt blocks 14 cellular apps being utilized by terror teams

NEW DELHI: The Indian authorities has blocked 14 cellular messaging functions, which had been allegedly being utilized by terrorist organisations, primarily primarily based in Jammu and Kashmir.

The banned apps embrace Crypviser, Enigma, Safeswiss, Wickrme, Mediafire, Briar, BChat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Ingredient, Second Line, Zangi and Threema, as per studies.

The choice is learnt to have been taken as per the inputs of intelligence companies, the studies stated.

These apps had been blocked as per the provisions of Part 69A of the Data Know-how Act, 2000, studies stated.
